Hi

Is there any way to move the settings etc from one user profile to another
please. On a laptop, the user settings stopped user logging in. have
created a new user and all is now ell, What I need to do now is to
transfer all the files from the old to the new folders

Log on as Admin

Temporarily rename the original profile-folder out of harm's way.

Remove and re-create the original user, being careful to use exactly the
same name.

Log on once as the re-created user, then off again, and back to Admin.

Delete the new profile this creates, and rename the original profile back to
its original name.

Assign ownership of the folder's contents to the proper account.

Log on as the original user, and the files and settings should be back.

wouldn't the problem of not being able to log in come back as well??
