Default User Profile

I created a custom default user profile as instructed by Microsoft for
Windows XP, I think. Any new users that log on share the same Favorites and
MyDocuments folders. Files for the new users are not stored in their own
profiles. What am I doing wrong?

Check the registry settings in the default user profile. The favorites
and my documents settings should be set to %USERPROFILE% and not
hardcoded to static folders.

..DEFAULT is the SYSTEM default profile, different then the default USER
profile...I would login as a user, run Regedit, File>Load Hive and
drill to the ntuser.dat in the default user folder (C:\documents and
settings\default user).

Forgot to mention...make sure you unload the hive within regedit after
you are done editting it...very important step!
