user profile in XP Home Edition

How do I recover a deleted user profile in XP Home Edition? I deleted the
user profile but did not realize it would delete my desktop which contained
my wife's work documents, etc. Her email account in Outlook was also deleted.
Any suggestions would help.

One foot out the door.

I'm not sure, but have you tried System Restore? It's gotten me out of
similar messes.
