User Profile deleted

T

Tricia Henwood

Can someone who knows how Windows 2000 works put me out of my misery,
please? My User Profile has been deleted (accidentally) from my computer.
It seems that I have lost everything - My Documents is empty; Outlook only
contains a welcome message from Microsoft and, worst of all, my Contacts
have all disappeared.

I have searched the hard drive and the only .pst folders I can find are two
(recently created) each less than 100Kb in size - one in the name of
Administrator and one in my name. The Recycle Bin is empty. The hard drive
seems to have about 2Gb more space than it had when I last checked!

Simple question - if a User Profile is deleted is this action permanent? Is
there no hope of recovering the data?

Many thanks
Tricia
