The only way I know how to do this is by setting up 6 separate User accounts
in the domain, with 6 separate Exchange Mailboxes, AND 6 separate POP3
accounts in the user's Outlook 2003. And I know that's not the best way to
do it.
I'd rather use either a "Microsoft Exchange server" account in Outlook, or
"Outlook with RPC over HTTP". And I'd like the user to be able to do the
same thing when he logs on to OWA.
So here's what he needs to be able to do;
A) When he sends an email he needs to be able to pick which 1 out of 6
possible identities that he wants to appear in the "FROM" field. For example
when he sends a message he may choose (e-mail address removed) to appear in
the "FROM" field. Then when he sends his next message he may choose
(e-mail address removed) to appear in the "FROM" field.
B) When he replies to an email, the account that the email was originally
sent to needs to appear in the "FROM" field. So for example, if he receives
an email that was sent to (e-mail address removed), and then he responds to
that email, the FROM field needs to show (e-mail address removed) (instead
of a Default account).
So for the past year I've been able to do this with POP3 accounts. But I
really want to stop using POP3. I just need to know how to do the same thing
with either a "MS Exchange server" account or by using Outlook with RPC over
HTTP.
We use an Exchange Server on SBS 2003 and the client uses Outlook 2003.
Please let me know if I need to clarify any of this.
Thanks!
