User name and password

I've seen various other posts similar to mine, but none seem to have the
answer.
I had forgotten my password that would allow me to access my email online
(my password was automatic in windows mail) and I tried to change it under
tools...accounts...properties...servers...incoming mail server.
After I changed it there, when I tried to receive it brought up a user
name/password dialog box that did not accept the new password.
I tried to delete the account and add it again, but no success.

This is the error code that comes up:
Account: 'incoming.verizon.net', Server: 'incoming.verizon.net', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Authentication failed', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

If you have forgotten your password you will need to call Verizon support.
