User Name and Password NOT Retained by XP

B

Bob

When I log onto Internet sites that require my Username
and Password, I am prompted by a Windows box (Icon of two
keys with "Messenger" icon next to Username line) to
enter my Username and Password, and I have the option of
checking a box so Windows XP will "Remember" the
information for future visits.

On one of my machines ((Dell), Windows XP DOES remember
the information, but on the other (HP)it does NOT.

How do I configure my HP machine so it WILL RETAIN this
information so I don't have to enter it every time I use
websites requiring Usernames and Passwords?

Thanks,
Bob

First, make sure that "Protected Storage" service is running. Click Start /
Run / Services.msc
If it is already ON, try this:

Your Outlook Express Password Is Not Retained in Windows 2000 or XP

[Applies to Auto-Complete as well]
