Is this /your/ account that you're talking about?

What does "took out the password" mean? What does "lost the user
account" mean?

1 notebook 2 users...me and my wife...removed the password for her login and
windows deleted her login and info....how do I get that back or can I ?

Removing a password does not delete a user account. User accounts are
allowed to have blank passwords. You must have done something else to
delete her account.

I don't suppose either of you were making backups?

she wanted to remove her login password so windows would boot up to "ready to
go" postion instead of having to type in a passwrd everytime she started up
the computer. So if her old login name has been removed, is it possible to
find that login on C: drive and reinstate it and reactivate it?

Are you certain that she deleted her user account? If, in fact, she
deleted her user account it is now erased and unrecoverable. To see if
anything from her account remains, log in to an account that has
administrator permissions and search the hard drive for her documents
(for example).

This isn't clear. The logon credentials and the user account are different
things, and yet another thing is the account folder structure.

First is to check for worst case. Log in as Administrator, or with and
Administrator level accounts, and open any Explorer window. Go to Tools,
Folder Options, View, and turn on "view protected system files" and "show
hidden files and folders". Click Apply and OK back to the desktop

Re-open Explorer and go to My Computer, then the C drive, then Documents
and Settings. Here, you should see all the user accounts listed. Note
that some accounts may be labelled "User" or "Owner" if they were pre-made
accounts from a factory install.

Browse into these folders to see if you can find specific files that you
know should be in them. You can also do a search for specific files, and
once you find them, you can relax. From this point, you can create a new
user account and simply copy the old files over if you can't get back into
the old profile. However, some settings (email logins etc) will have to be
re-entered.

If you don't find the folders, STOP. You're possibly in data recovery mode
and simply using the machine reduces your chance of recovering anything.

Now, what exactly do you mean by "lost the user account"?
