USER-LEVEL SECURITY WIZARD

Can anyone tell me why - when I cannot set up User-level security from the
wizard.

I tried setting up a fresh test database, then going to TOOLS - SECURITY -
USER-LEVEL SECURITY WIZARD. This works ok so far. I am then asked if I want
to create workgroup information. I select the NEXT optIon using the default
values. The wizard then moves to a screen which askes me what database
objects I want to secure ...... and here is where it fails. The selection
box window does not contain any objects. It is only an empty grey box!!!
Above the box are a number of tabs which indicate that I should be able to
switch between pages 1 thru 7. They don't work! I get an error message
indicating that a macro does not exist!!!!

Can anyone help? I'm going round in circles on this one!!!!!!

Did you actually create any objects in that 'fresh test database'?

Sounds like a corrupt installation. Have you tried going to Help, Repair.

If that doesn't work, you may have to reinstall Access.

Hi Joan

thanks for your response. There are ojects created (tables, queries, forms
and reports).

I have reinstalled Access and still get the same problem. I must be doing
something wrong but I sure don't know what. Any further ideas would be
welcome.

Regards

Peter

I kinda thought you had, but you didn't say.

I have not heard of this problem, sorry. I don't know what else to suggest.
