User file

On one of my computers I created a new user account. Under Docs and
Settings I moved the folder contents of User1 MyDocs to User2 MyDocs.
All was well even after a shut down and restart.

Next day the files are not listed under either user profile. Tried
to
do a search of C drive and only shortcuts to files from Recent folder
are listed under search results, and when you click it says "unable
to
locate shortcut"

Any ideas, got me and my computer guy stumped. All that was done was
move files from one folder to another. Help appreciated, thanks in

I also tried to restoring to one day prior to floder move and no luck,
plenty of restore points, should I try further back? Whole thing was
done do to a corrupt user file, which I have handled in the past by
creating a new one and movings folder contents.

I'm not an Xpert, but you can do a Search with NOTHING(blank) in the Search
Box. Hopefully it didn't get placed in another folder.

Not sure what your'e on about there. Searching by leaving the box blank is
the same as searching with an "*" in it; meaning, list ALL files in whatever
area it's set to search in. You can search in any folder or even the whole
drive. What filenames, etc., is he supposed to be looking for? Wihtout
knowing that, such a listing isn't going to be real useful.

I don't know and thus have no help there, but; what ARE you on about,
anyway?
