Am trying to clean-up the system for SP2. Ran Ad-Aware,
and found many items. Have now spent 3 days cleaning
via "Admin" account. All seemed to be well, until I
logged onto another "User". Task Manager showed 300+
processes running (under "Admin", only 38). What next??

if you want to be really clean, you could slipstream sp2 to your xp cd, then
do a complete reformat and install xp slipstreamed.

what are the processes?

I thought running clean-up programs from Admin would
search/detect entire system? In Admin, I had to manually
clean some items thru regedit, so assumed that these
cleaned the system. Does user acct require seperate
runs/cleaning?

Yes.
