I want to get my user account back to the default, so that like if i hit
ctrl-alt-del it just brings up the task manager, instead of bringing up the
windows secruity with lock computer, task manager, log off, shut down,
change password. I dont have a clue how to do this, any help would be
appreaciated. Also, when i try to put a password on a screensaver, it puts
the users password, i want the default so that it promps you to put a
password it, If you understand what im trying to get, plz help and post, if
you dont, post your question, and i will try to answer it. (I have XP PRO)

Hi Patrick,

Control Panel/Users/Change the Way Users Logon/Welcome Screen or...

Start/Control Panel/Users/Change the Way users log on or off/Use Welcome
Screen and Use Fast User Switching.

Enable the Welcome Screen (Line 80)

The "Welcome" Logon Screen Does Not Appear

More information and options here:

As per the latter, that should be corrected now as well. If not, repost and
good luck!

What you have is the default. From memory you first asked this several weeks
ago. Maybe you could try using help and support.

From help and support you would determine that you could create a shortcut
to C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exe on the desktop, right click the
shortcut/choose properties/Shortcut Tab. Put cursor in Shortcut key box and
assign CTRL+ALT+whatever key sequence.

But I assume you'll just continue being lazy and dim-witted.

What the hell is that? where do you get off telling me im lazy and
dim-witted. You should get kicked off The newsgroups because your good for
nothing.

And no, i didnt ask this several weeks ago Dumb@ss. you have me mistaken with
someone else, so next time you go insulting (or making an attemp at
insulting) someone, make sure its the same person you think it is.

Super lazy then. If you can't solve a problem like you had you shouldn't
even be using a computer.
