Is it possible to allow or control acess or assign privilages within XP Home
for users limited accounts, not administrator. A new game only will run when
logged in as administrator. I want to run as a limited user, but the error
"unable to run game directly from read only media" appears. Can anyone
provide assistance here? Its a game from Atari and uses Direct X 9.

If you know the folder of this game program then make it available on
network (Shared). This means the folder becomes unprotected (shared) so
that temp files can be created and settings saved.

I have got a DOS program called Borland Pascal 7.01 which is in shared
folder so that I can use it under a limited user account or Guest
Account.

Or you can run with different credentials by Right-Clicking on the
desktop ICON and under Properties, shortcut tab, choose RUN under
different credentials"

" tqcrunas " is a utility that allows you to create shortcuts to programs
you want to run as administrator while logged in on a limited account ...
the advantage of the program is that you can safe the user/password
combination in the shortcut ( which cannot be done by rightclicking the
shortcut and choose run with different credentials, there you have to give
user/pass everytime you run the program)

wether u want to pay for the program for that reason is a choice, but the
program works like a charm ...
