user account crashes

Neil

Has anyone come across this problem bifore, logging onto
an account is fine initiallly but when I try to log off
and log onto another account the machine hangs, tries to
send an error report but is unable to, and also tells me
that my virtual memmory is too low (256 b).
I've tried virus checking it, and although it did remove
one or two virus's the problem is still there, I've also
reinstalled XP.

Help !!
 
Hi Neil:

This can be a tough situation. Goto event viewer and
under Start > Run > (type )
eventvwr


Check for application errors and System errors.
Find out what is causing the problem, unistall it or stop the service or use MSCONFIG utility in the start up tab and disable what ever could be causing the problem.
under Start > Run > (type )
msconfig

This is a trouble shooting exercise...
I have trouble shooting steps but this is a start...
