I use Win2000 pro on my computer. As a result of a virus, the amount of
space used on my hard drive jumped up dramatically. I took care of the
virus, but the space used on my hard drive still is high, as indicated by
the drive properties function, ~ 10GB. When I determine the amount of space
used by each directory (in an effort to determine where the extra space
was), the total of all directories only equals ~ 7GB, which is about where
it should be. I have run error check and have looked at hidden files, but
cannot locate where the extra space is used. Does anyone have any
suggestions for eliminating the extra used space?
