Is it possible to use front page 2003 to upload an .exe file so that it can
be downloaded by others? I would like it to be a self extracting file so that
it starts a download when they click on it.

As long as it is within your web structure and there is at least one
link to it from a (html) page you have created/modified in FP, the
file will be uploaded automatically when you pubish the web. In
general, an .exe file will cause the browser to prompt the user to
decide whether he/she wants to (download and) run or (download and)
save the file, though if a browser is set to a high security level, it
may refuse to download an executable file at all. For this reason, you
may want to consider zipping the file.

Yes, import the file and link to it.

In addition to other replies, you web host must allow you to upload .exe files to your web space.

I imported the exe file to the folder list. How do I create the link to it?
Also, I see no way to zip this file using XP Pro. It just rejects that
option to send it to a compressed folder.

See the help on creating links.
Basically you select some text (or an image) then press ctrl-k to bring
up the hyperlink dialog.
Download WinZip or WinRar for your zipping needs.

Thanks Jens, my brain must have been out to lunch when I asked the link
question but I have it all under control now.
