USB Wireless Adapter on a USB Printer

Hi ... crasy idea here. Has anyone tried to put a wireless USB adapter
(looks like a thumb drive) onto the USB port of a regular printer
(would need a USB A-B adapter) and be able to access it from another
computer? The adapter should receive an IP from the router and as long
as you know the IP of the "printer" and have the print driver on your
remote machine, you should be able to connect to it. Has anyone done
this?

I don't think that will work, because there's no way to load or run
the driver program for the wireless USB adapter on the printer.

You can do what you want with a wireless USB print server, such as:
