USB Wireless Client Adapter and Domain Login

We've been looking for a USB wireless client adpater for a while to work with
our desktops, but unfortunately the 2 we have already tried do not
authenticate to the WLAN before you login to the AD domain so consequently
there has to be a profile already on the PC so it logs in locally then
authenticates to the WLAN and then you have network access.

Can anyone recommend a USB Wireless client adapter that will authenticate to
the WLAN before you get to the AD domain login?

Also, does the Microsoft Wireless client with SP2 authenticate to the WLAN
pre AD domain login and will it do it with any USB client adapter?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The problem is the drivers and the order in which they load - maybe someone
who has taken notes will know which ones load as a service (before logon)
and which ones load as a program (after logon).

One thing I would try - no guarantees but it might work - would be to
disable or uninstall the utility that came with the USB NIC to configure it
and instead use Windows XP's WZC (Wireless Zero Configuration) service to
configure the network. It might not kick in on THIS login, but perhaps on
the NEXT login after a reboot it might start the network before login.
