USB Software

I am running XP SP2 with 512mb Ram ,60 GB hard drive,mainboard Elite K7S5A
and 1.1 USB hub
If I connect a pwered USB 1.1 to the connection directly of the mainboard I
get the message" found new hardware USB hub" When the new hardware wizard
kicks in it looks for software and can not find it so the installation
fails.

Trying the same hub in another computer it does not require any additional
software, it identifies new hub and works.

Should I require any additional software if so were do I find it and why do
I need it?

Make sure your mainboards OEM USB drivers, bios, etc, are all installed and
or up to date..
