Reinstalling XP isn't necessary unless you're having major problems. Maybe
if you explain what's going wrong, someone can sort it out for you.

When moving the webcam to another usb port my computer wants me to reinstall
the webcam software ??? Is this rigrt ,or should it know that its insalled
allready ?? Thanks for any help.

Always connect to the same USB port and you will not have that issue.

I was wondering if that was the normal thing .Thank you for the speedy reply
!!!!

Windows installs drivers for usb devices on the fly, when it's plugged in.
In order for this to work, you have to install the drivers once, before
plugging it in.
When you move it to another usb port, windows will redetect it and reinstall
it.
This may be a messy way to do it, but it works ....i guess ...
When it ask for the drivers, just tell it to look for it with no locations
selected.
