When I unplug one of my two printers from the USB port and
plug it back in neither printer will work again unless I
reboot. I tried to use the "unplug device" but nothing
shows up when use the unplug devices from the hardware
wizard.
I get an unplug device in the system tray when I use my
camera but nothing for either of my printers. It looks to
me like I need to use the unplug device before I remove a
printer but can't find one anywhere.
In Win 98 I could unplug and reconnect devices at will
without any problems.
Also when I plug in my card reader to the USB port my
system locks up. It won't reboot with the card reader
plugged in. I can't use the card reader at all. Not sure
if this has to do with the USB port or the card reader
itself. Just thought I would bring it up.
