USB Port Stopped Working

i was using my wireless mouse and my lite one burner through my 2 usb ports
on my compaq laptop last night, and they were working fine. when i went to
use them this morning, neither one would work. any suggestions?

What power state was your laptop in overnight? Did it go into Standby
or Hibernation mode, or did it simply run at full power (i.e.
"screensaver" mode)?
