USB Photo Wallet problem

I've newly bought a photo Wallet (Speed N-200). Sometimes, it will show
"device is not ready" when I copy photo back to my notebook (WinXP Home
Edition SP2). The worst is that when I copy 10 files together from my
notebook to the photo Wallet, the system will hang. After a while, error
message "Cannot copy xxxx. The request could not be performed because of an
I/O device error". When I access the photo wallet again, it shows "device is
not ready". I have to disconnect and connect it again. However the file xxxx
is successfully copied to the photo wallet. Any idea about it?

Possibly you are seeing some conflict between a USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 These
should be OK if your hardware is 2.0, but something could be wrong with its
driver. I would remove, and reinstall the USB Hub devices. It's easy enough,
and can't hurt anything.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the HUB device(s), Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.

Dear Mark,

I have tried the steps. But the device becomes unknown after restart the
computer. No driver can be found for the Photo Wallet. The specification of
both Photo Wallet and my notebook is USB2. Look forward to hearing from you.

You have a damaged copy of the USB2 driver on your system. I woiuld run

SFC /SCANNOW

If no help, you will need a Repair installation to fix it.
