USB not working on XP Professional

Just installed a new hard drive ,now the computer does not see any USB
devices(web cam,digital camera,memory stick).when I plug in the memory stick
the light on the unit comes on but the computer does not see it at all.Have
SP1 and 2.

I had the same problem - did a reinstall of XP and it worked - that was my
solution instead of troubleshooting it - I needed a refresh system anyhow.

Try opening device mgr,scroll to usb controller,select update driver.
