USB not recognized on XP Pro SP2

Hi all

I have WinXP SP2 installed. But I can not connect any device to my computer
through usb? Why this happens and what is the solution..?

Start by determining if the USB ports have been enabled in the BIOS.
(See user manual for BIOS)

Well,
once I had the simular problem, so I tried to use another USB port,
did you try that?
But after some period of time I had to reinstall OS, and after that all
my ports work.
But it's very radical solution...
Hope you'll find another.
