USB MP3 locks up

I'm running Win XP Pro on 2 different PC's. I just bought
a USB MP3 player. When I plug it in Windows Explorer locks
up so I can't load music on it. My USB removeable drive
works just fine. The MP3 player works on my laptop (Win
ME) so I don't think it's the player.

Have you installed software for it, sometimes these things want the software
installed before the player is plugged in.
