USB memory stick problem

I have recently encountered a problem with one of my memory stick (Sony USB
2.0) as my computer does not recognize it anymore but rather refers to it as
a “security device†which window was not able to locate the software for.

What can I do to retrieve my data stored on the stick?

Please help

Only my guess....some of these devices have a secured partition that is only
available with a special driver from the manufacturer. Is it possible that
this driver is not loading during boot? Try to re-install the driver.
