when connecting my iPod to the USB port i get a small error message at the
bottom of my screen w/ yellow exclamation mark saying that the USB device is
not recognized (or has malfunctioned)...or sometimes saying something like
"Hi-Speed device plugged into a non hi-speed port." I have USB 2.0.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this??

You will need to have SP1 installed to enable USB2 is SP1 installed.

may not be a 2.0 hub.

i don't think i have a hub plugged in... how do i know?

You look at your USB port. You follow it to the appliance. If you find a
hub between your computer's USB port and the appliance, you have a hub
plugged in.

Use the window's update feature to go to the Ms udpdate site. It will
scan your computer and tell you what updates you need. If you don't
have sP1 installed it will tell you that.

i have sp1 installed

i think its a problem with the usb cord itself...apple said it's a common
problem
