USB Flash Disk not recognised

I've just acquired a Shintaro 128meg flash memory stick. When I plug it in
XP recognises it only as an "unknown device" rather than a mass storage or
removable storage device as I believe it ought to.
The Shintaro web site doesn't have any useful information. Does anybody on
this newsgroup?

Did your Media Drive come with a disc? If so you probably
need to update your drivers. Search their website.
Drivers are often found under Support>Downloads.
