USB External Drive

I have a USB II (I think) external hard drive, which works fine with my W2k
Thinkpad T30 but will not be recognized in WXP Thinkpad T42. Does anyone
know whether this is the drive, cable, computer, etc?

Just a couple thoughts. First, does the Thinkpad T42 have Service Pack
1 installed? Also, have you installed the chipset/motherboard drivers
for it yet?
