My Computer Opens Seach

Hi,

I have a peculiar problem with my Thinkpad T42. Whenever I double-click 'My
Computer ' or plug-in an external USB drive, it immediately opens the Search
Window, instead of Explorer window in which I can view the contents. I can
view the contents only in Windows Explorer.

Any suggestions how to resolve this ?

TIA,
Mohan

Take a look at these articles. You can download a script from
the last one that will attempt to fix the problem for you.

Thanks. I found the solution on the Net.

In Windows Explorer, Tools/Folder Options/File Types, then used Advanced to
change the options to Explorer. I did this for Drive and File Folders. Every
thing is okay and opens in Explorer.

Cheers,
MPM
