USB Error Message

I do not have a USB device hooked up to my computer but an alert window keeps
popping up saying I do and it is malfunctioning. It instructs me to click on
the window. When I do, there is nothing in the window to react to.
 
Plug your USB device in, and this time remove it correctly: Double-click on
the icon in the system tray and follow the prompts.

That did not do it. I have tried removing it before. This is truly befuddling
me.
