notice it install "USB2 Enhanced Host controller"

Should this be there - or should i install/reinstall std USB Universal Host
controller?

Enhanced Host Controller is the description for most USB 2.0 ready USB
port host controller. Does your webcam work?

Hello Jethro,

Yes, it should be there, otherwise you won't be able to use USB2. The
Enhanced Host Controller gives you the USB2 functionality.

I can't understand why only one USB port has this driver & the others have a
different driver - like is it anything to do with the webcam at all?

It used to - but since updating the driver to the latest one it hasn't
worked properly - reinstalled the original driver - worked for a while now
quit altogether - doesn't matter which webcam driver i install it doesn't
work - wondered whether this USB driver was wrong? (i have tried it in other
USB - still nothing)

Yes, you are correct; however, his WebCam did not install that capability
rather it was already in place on either his motherboard or via an added PCI
card. He likely needs to go to the WebCam manufacturers web site for an
updated driver/firmware/software pack update.

Another USB subsystem on Vista bites the dust. Tired of this shit yet?

Cheers.
