USB Device Not Recognized message when I plug in my joystick

I have a problem using my joystick on one Windows XP laptop I have. It works
on a Windows XP desktop and another Windows 2000 laptop. But everytime I
plug it into this particular laptop, I get the message, "USB Device Not
Recognized

One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and
windows does not recognize it."

Anyone have any ideas what I might want to try?

Hi Austin,

Did you install the driver first? If not, you need to. If you did, then try
