USB 2

I recently installed a USB 2 PCI card, and every so often my system hangs.
When I re-boot and do into event manager it says:
NEC PCI to USB Enhanced Host Cpntroller service failed to start because it
was either disabled, or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.
Sometimes it is not shown in device manager.

Any assistance would be greatfully received.

Which PCI slot did you put it in?

I suggest a "middle" slot. Not one right next to a video card slot and not
one on the very edge of the board. I know it sounds strange - but...

And also - check for an updated driver on the manufacturer's web page.
