USB 2.0 Ports

How do I reinstall drivers for these please.. i have anewish computer - about
1 mnth old. Pentium 4.3, Foxconn motherboard, SIS graphics & USB.
All worked fine for a couple of weeks then the message about device
malfunctioning started to appear. I have tried most things suggested by the
Apple board as my ipod was one affected device as is my usb self powered hub.
They work perfectly on my old computer which is being passed on shortly.
Also they are recognised if I plug in an old 1.1 hub first and connect them
through it. Both are recognised and generate the message that they would work
better in a high speed 2.0 port. Except that they then become unknown devices.
I run XP pro and have a clean install of Service pack 2 which has not
helped. One post suggested reinstalling the drivers for the USB ports but I
am not sure how to do this.
Thanks
Joy

Call tech support for the laptop.
1) Extra drivers are not normally necessary to get USB devices to work in
XP.
2) If the laptop is still under warranty, it's better to contact them
sooner than later for this issue. If the hardware has failed, this will get
the paperwork rolling for possible replacement or repair.
