USB 2.0 device with w2k prof sp2 ?

Folks,

I try using a usb 2.0 device with Windows2000 Professional
(SP2 & some SecurityFixes) and failed. Performance is
compatible to old usb. I read about upgradeing SP4 will
support usb 2.0 in general. But I cannot upgarde due to
applications that don't like SP4?

any thoughts ?

Yes, of course it does !
But OS (w2k SP2) doesn't - that's my problem

Not supported in SP3 either, BUT SP4 does.
