USB 2.0 and IRQ

Checking in the Device Manager, I see that my USB 2.0 Root Hub doesn't have
an IRQ number assigned to it. Is this correct?
Other USB devices have IRQs in the range of 19 to 21.

donit wurk?

if it is an external hub
then the irq is assigned to
the port on the mobo...

Thanks. It's working, but only at 1.0 speed and I thought (hoped!) this was
the problem.

hmm...
thats not right.

usb's are hard wired for the speed.
if the external hub is 2.0 but plugged
into the motherboard usb port but
that is a 1.0, then you will see the
degredation. but i think this might
be a lucky configuration.

there is a problem with the way
these are hooked up with differential
speeds. That is either a 1.0 can't work
if its plugged into a 2.0 or vice versa....

i had to buy a usb 2.0 pci to get
a multiport hub 2.0 to plug into it...

My ASUS mobo has four ports hard wired for USB 2.0 but, with the USB 1.0
driver provided by XP, I am only getting USB 1.0 speeds!
XP will not accept the ASUS USB 2.0 driver.......
