I'm running Windows XP Pro and have a US Robotics external
V.92 modem connected to my PC. The modem is recognized in
the Device Manager, and I can dial out using
Hyperterminal. However, when I try to set up MSN8, the
modem doesn't dial out. I assume it's a COM port
conflict, but I'm not sure. The modem is set to use COM2,
and the device manager troubleshooter says there're no
conflicts, but I'm not sure what else it could be. Aside
from leaving the stone ages and getting cable internet,
what do I need to check?
