Url attachments in email don't copy.

This I am sure is an old issue that finally has me
aggrevated enough to flame Bill Gates.

Since XP and Outlook 2000 I cannot send a url link
from IE. I always get this text message in the body

"Your files are attached and ready to send with this
message."

and an I-warning that Outlook has blocked access to
potentially unsafe attachment. Guess Microsoft URL's
are pretty bad that even their URL's are blocked
by Outlook. Any help you can offer...thanks.

YOu can go ahead and send it, but chances are the recipient won't be able to
open it. Because secure versions of Outlook block shortcut files on incoming
messages, I recommend that you use a little free add-in for Internet
Explorer when you want to send someone a link to a page. You can get
MailTo_URL from http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#mailto. It
adds an "Email Page" command to the right-click menu in IE and uses the
title of the page for the subject of the mail message.

Make sure that the registry entry you create to tell IE where to find the
application matches the location where you save the program.
