URGENT HELP NEEDED

Hi Everyone
When I got to my desk this morning the screen was black and states a disk
read error has occurred. press ctrl+alt+del to restart. I tried that and it
just keeps happening. I'm running xp on an emachine. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!

Hi

Reboot your system and keep tapping the F8 key until you see a screen that
has 'Last Known Good Configuration' as an option - try that.

Hi Denny,
Unfortunatly that did not work, it continued to go directly to the error
message.

Did you have any tasks auto-scheduled to be exectuted overnight?

Do you have a floppy disk inserted? If so, remove it and reboot.
