Urgent help needed for security problem!

Hi,

I set the user-level security and split my database. It
use newsystem.mdw file. I put the back-end database and
the newsystem.mdw file on the shared network drive, and
distribute the front-end database file to user's local
machine. Here the user's default workgroup file is
system.mdw. When I use the shortcut link of MSACCESS.EXE
file (which specify the workgroup file switch to the
newsystem.mdw) to open the front-end database, it works
fine. However, when I double click the front-end database
file, it will be opened without security, it just use the
default system.mdw file.
Here, I don't want users to login as admin to view the
data in the table. How can I solve this big problem?
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!

When you double-click the FE, then Access starts up with the default
workgroup file, logged in as Admin. If you can use the application,
that means that you missed a step somewhere. A common reason is to
forget to change the ownership of the database. Re-read the Microsoft
Security FAQ or my own paper on the subject. Links are in my
signature.
