Security HELP

I followed the steps outlined in MS Access 2003 Inside and Out to try and
secure the sample database "Housing". Whatever I did, everytime I try to
secure another database, the Housing Admin dialog box appears. I'm very,
very new to security so I'm not sure how to fix.

Also, is there anyway to restore the system.mdw file back to it's
installation version?

Likely the mdw file you created to secure Housing is now set as your
default mdw to use for every session of Access. Open the workgroup
administrator and reset your default back to system.mdw that ships with
Access. To launch your secure Housing mdb, create a desktop shortcut
for it. The target would be:
"path to msaccess.exe" "path to secure mdb" /wrkgrp "path to secure mdw"

This question suggests that you modified the system.mdw that ships with
Access. Instead, you always want to create a *new* mdw to secure a mdb.
Access uses a mdw in every session. System.mdw is standard in all
installations of Access. When you open/use an unsecured mdb, you are
silently logged in as 'Admin' and this user is owner/has full rights to
everything (Admin is common to every mdw file, which is why you create a
new mdw file, and remove all permissions from Admin and the Users Group).

As to how to restore the system.mdw; the easiest way in 2003, is to make
system.mdw your default workgroup, and then close Access, and rename
system.mdw to system1.mdw. Now open Access, and since it can't find its
default mdw, it'll create a new pristine system.mdw for you.
