Upsizing Wizard from Access to SQL Server

I am trying to use SQLServer for the first time and I am trying to use the
upsizing wizard on Access to get moved over to SQLServer. When I started SQL
Server Management Studio Express, the Connect to Server window came up. The
Server Name was: MARKSDESKTOP\SQLEXPRESS. I clicked on connect.

A green arrow was present next to MARKSDESKTOP\SQLEXPRESS in Registered
Servers. I then went to the Access database and started the upsizing wizard.
When it asked "What SQL Server would you like to use for this database, I
typed in: MARKSDESKTOP\SQLEXPRESS.

I got the following error message: ODBC failed.

I don't know what this means or what I should do about it. Do you have any
suggestions?

Thanks

Mark

Check the Control Panel ... Administrative Tools ... ODBC

to see if you have a DSN set up for SQL-Server. If so use it's name. If not,
set one up using the Driver you have listed. If you have no driver listed,
you will need to re-install Office to see if it can pick up the driver from
your latest SQL-Server installation.
