I get an error box that says something to the effect-

"We were unable to connect to the server. Your time out may need adjusted"

and it shows "http://server.msn.com/.....httpmail.com"

I've reinstalled and repaired and removed accounts and added, changed, and I
can't figure out what the problem is. Any ideas?

You cannot use Outlook or OE unless you pay for the Premium version of
Hotmail. Details at the MSN Help site. Use your browser instead. If you do
have the premium version, lengthen the time out in Tools, Accounts, your acct
settings, Advanced & ask MSN for Help.

Is that new?? I've connected to hotmail previously (like a few days ago)??

MSN is really starting to disappoint me with all the fees and charges.
(hotmails used to be free!) Thanks Mary.

More and more of the free Hotmail accounts will fail in this manner until,
by April, none will work.

And it still can be, as long as yo use the web interface.
