When I open outlook a message pops up saying: Unable to display the folder.
Errors have been detected in the file C:\documents and settings............

Quit outlook and all mail enabled applications, and then use the inbox
repair tool (scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file.

I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THIS. Please help.

Thanks.
I went to this site, and am trying to download the outlook tools. My
computer needed a NET program to run it, which has an estimated download time
of 1hr. Am I headed in the right direction with this?

Scanpst.exe is located on your computer. Simply do a file/folder search for
it (click on Advanced and include hidden files/folders). When it's located,
double-click on it and follow the instructions. It will ask you to browse to
the location of your PST, so you need to know where it is.

I did this, but when I open Outlook. I see emails from today and
yesterday...all last week is gone. Emails from last month are there, but not
last week. I've played with the view setting, but emails are missing. In the
recieved column, where you would normally see the date, it says NONE, where
the missing email are.

If there were any errors when you scanned, scan again. Repeat until
scanpst.exe finds no further errors. Then open Outlook again.
