I am trying to upload pages from front page 2003 to my web site in order to
amend it but the ftp program simply says it cannot find the filr even though
it is there in the left hand pane and it is the amended version which I have
edited

My host says I must disable the extensions in Front Page. I don't really
understand this as I can't find anywhere to do it. Does this make sense to
you Tom?

If you are FTPing to the remote site, and the FP server extensions are
installed, the host needs to tell you where the control panel is to
uninstall them. They also need to make sure you are properly set up for FTP,
with all the proper permissions.

I am having a problem with FrontPage. I have been publishing videos on my
remote web site for the past year, and all of a sudden, a box is showing up,
telling me that the site doesn't have Wondows SharePoint Services installed.
Why would this box start showing up all of a sudden?

Several possible reasons - pick one that makes sense:
1) You no longer have FrontPage extensions on your site - your host may
have removed them.
2) The extensions are corrupted and need repairing or re-installing
3) You are attempting to publish to the wrong site
4) You normally use FTP, and somehow chose to publish using HTTP
You really should have started your own thread - problems with FP extensions
have little to do with problems with FTP
