uploading & maintaining

does frontpage need and additional ftp for uploading/downloading/maintaning of my own website from my desttop?

If your website is being hosted on a Windows Server with Server extensions installed or Unix / Apache (& Others) with Server Extensions installed, you can use the "Publish to Web" or Open your site live and publish to your hard drive

If your host does not support FrontPage (Server Extensions are not installed), you would be best to use a 3rd party FTP client (WS_FTP, Cute FTP, etc..)

FrontPage Version 2003 has an FTP client built in, that I use quite frequently, but I still use a 3rd party FTP client on occassion

Either way, you want to consult with your host for exact support
