Uploading a .mov file to my website

I have some movie files taken with a Minolta DimageX camera. They
seem to have the .mov extension. I am having trouble uploading
them to my website. It has been suggested to me that they need to
be converted to MPEG files as this is the usual format for
viewing online. Does anyone know how this can be done?

All help is much appreciated.

FWIW...There are many sites that
offer .mov files for download. I think
you have other issues besides the
file format. Maybe if you describe
the exact problems you are
experiencing someone can assist
you.

Anyway...the following article
discusses one possible way to
convert .mov files to a different
format.
