***Converting .MOV files***

I have a problem with converting .mov files. I have bought an Olympus camera
and I didn't know that it records clips in MOV format. Windows Movie Maker
as we all know doesn't support that format, and I was converting it with RAD
Video Tools (Bink and Smacker), something like that. When I try to convert a
..mov format file, an error appears and it says that there is an error
opening the audio file.
Can somebody tell my how to convert a MOV file and is there a better
converter than RAD video tools?

thx in advance
